How it started:
I think I must have been born naturally just loving horses. And (finally!) at 6 years old, my parents put me into riding lessons. They didn't allow children under 8 years old to ride, but at 6 years old, I was quite tall and was able to reach the stirrups, so the facility allowed me to begin riding.
As I grew up, my parents got me my own horses, I spent my years riding at home and going to shows every weekend. I then got my first job at a local breeding stable at 14 as a groom stable hand, then started riding the show horses and helping start the younger warmbloods. As the show groom, I also got to ride the younglings in their first Trillium shows.
I was picked up by a local trainer that taught my everything I know about natural horsemanship. I spent 5 years with Marc, learning the horsemanship styles of the greatest trainers; Buck Brannaman, Monty Roberts, Tom Dorrance etc. In 2022, as I was out of the country, I found out he had passed away losing his battle with cancer. (Marc, I can't thank you enough for everything.) I cried for days straight, because I wasn't there to say goodbye and it was his dream for me to continue his legacy and become a trainer, helping people and their horses. But I had no idea how I could go about it...
How it's going:
Fast forward a couple of years: I competed on the Carleton University Equestrian team while working as a groom for a dressage stable and a hunter/jumper lesson barn in Ottawa, Ontario. Then, I found myself grooming for an A-circuit showjumping stable where we showed at the World Equestrian Center in Florida, USA. Upon coming back to Canada, I now juggle my pharmacy job with my dream side hustle; helping horses and humans together. For me, nothing is more fulfilling than seeing happy horses and their owners smiling and enjoying every moment together! Thank you for choosing me to help you and your horse accomplish your horsemanship and riding goals.
